Traveling

I waited for you for hours by the inglenook

You never showed up this was our special place

Where we first met I consider you as my lagniappe

With your lissome and mellifluous voice

Where are you my ingénue?

I travel through the lagoon making ripples with my feet

Trying to pick up your redolent but I get nothing

Because of the petrichor if It just a case of us missing each other

As I travel in search of you I have left palimpsest all over

The other ones showing you I have been there

Each is ended with I love you.
